Ho Quang Trung is a former Deputy Director General of the Department of Foreign Trade (now the Foreign Trade Agency) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. He specialized in the areas of rules of origin and import-export procedures and held various leadership positions in the Ministry, including Director General of the International Cooperation Department. He also served as the Director General of the ASEAN Secretariat and led the negotiations on rules of origin and import-export procedures as Head of the negotiation team within the Vietnamese Government Negotiating Delegation.
Mr. Trung’s expertise extends to the development of key legal documents in the commercial and foreign trade sectors. He was a member of drafting committees for the Commercial Law, the Law on Foreign Trade Management, as well as several decrees and circulars related to rules of origin and import-export procedures.
Mr. Trung holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Trade from the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom.
